Does my child need speech therapy?
Every child is different, but there are some signs worth paying attention to. If your child isn't talking as much as other kids their age, is hard to understand even for you, struggles to follow directions, or gets frustrated trying to communicate, those are worth a closer look. The same goes for trouble with certain sounds, or a gut feeling that something just seems off. You know your child best. If you're wondering, that's reason enough to get an evaluation. We will help you figure out what is actually going on and what to do about it.

What to Expect In Speech Therapy
At your child's initial evaluation, we will take a close look at how they communicate, using a mix of formal and informal assessment depending on what your child needs. This might include observation, an oral motor exam, language sampling, and a conversation about their developmental history. No two evaluations look exactly the same, because no two kids are the same. Once the evaluation is complete, we will walk you through what we found and what we recommend, including a clear, measurable plan for treatment. How long therapy takes from there depends entirely on your child, there is no one-size-fits-all timeline.
